Practicing on the Traditional Lands of Treaty 7

I would like to acknowledge the traditional, ancestral, unceded Treaty 7 territory, as well as, the historical regional homeland of the Métis, which includes the Battle River Territory on which we are learning today.

I believe it’s important to acknowledge this fact because Indigenous people have been talked about in the past tense and all the struggles they faced were in the past tense as well. It is easier to deny Indigenous people their rights if we historicize their struggles and simply pretend they don’t exist.

They do exist.

We need to see their Rights to the land and way of life, not based on the Indian Act, but based on their knowledge and culture.

The Bottom Line.

Pain is complex and exhausting. You are looking for the 'fix'. You want someone who can get rid of your pain. I totally get it.

Here is the deal, I am not going to guarantee you anything. Why?

Because you need to do the work. I am here to be your coach, your support team and help you build your staircase.

I've taken courses not only in how chronic pain happens and can be treated, but also in behaviour change so I can do everything possible to help you build the habits you need to live your best life!
